    Description

"Project Apollo" Franklin Mint Set of Twenty Sterling Silver Medals Made with Apollo 13 Flown Metal, Directly from the Personal Collection of Bruce McCandless II. Issued in December 1970, these twenty silver medals of 32mm each trace the steps of a successful moon landing mission from "Lift-Off to the Moon" and "Second Stage Ignition" to "Splash-Down" and "Recovery." These are all presented in a custom 9" x 12" frameable plaque. The coins are uncirculated and many exhibit a beautiful cameo effect. Original portfolio, presentation folder, COA, and letter included, some with light soiling. Very fine overall.
