    Description

    "Neil Armstrong Ejecting from Lunar Landing Research Vehicle" The Scroll Phi Delta Theta, September 1968 Clipping, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. 7" x 10", pages 27 and 28. With three black and white images of Neil Armstrong ejecting from the lunar landing trainer after the module unexpectedly exploded during a training session over Ellington AFB (page 28). Armstrong was able to eject and parachute to safely, but the lost craft cost $2.5 million. With a rough left vertical edge, where the clipping was torn from the larger magazine. Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG 1002046-006. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
