    "America in Space" Set of 1988 Limited Edition Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals in Presentation Box. Seven medals total in a 10" x 6.5" x 1.5" wooden case, one of an edition of 8000 V.I.P sets. This "Young Astronaut" National Medal set was manufactured by the United States Mint in Philadelphia. It consists of a U.S. Treasury medal and two each (Brilliant Uncirculated and Proof) of three space medals.
    Gold Space Shuttle: 0.85" diameter, 8.36 grams of 90% gold, 4.2% silver, balance copper.
    Silver Astronaut: 1.5" diameter, 26.7 grams of 90% silver, 10% copper.
    Bronze Space Shuttle: 1.5" diameter, 25 grams of 90% copper, 10% zinc.
    Includes a Certificate of Limited Edition from America in Space and a Certificate of Authenticity from the United States Mint. Each medal in an individual holder except for the Treasury medal. As issued.
