    Skylab III (SL-4) Flown American Flag on a Crew-Signed Framed Presentation Directly from the Estate of NASA Legend Chris Kraft, with Certificate of Authenticity. A 5.75" x 4" cloth U.S. flag mounted to a 19.5" x 15.5" (sight size) matboard with a label beneath reading: "This Flag Represents The Spirit And Abilities Of The American People Who Have Made Space Exploration A Reality. It Has Traveled 34.5 Million Miles With The Crew Of Skylab III During Their Launch, Their 84-Day Manning Or Our Nation's First Space Station, And Their Return To Earth." Also in the display is a Beta cloth mission insignia (assumed unflown), and a 10" x 7.5" color photo captioned (in calligraphy) "A view of Earth as seen from the vantage point of the CSM during Skylab III." In a beautiful calligraphic hand is the following dedication: "Presented to Dr. Christopher C. Kraft, Jr. - Director, Johnson Space Center - In grateful appreciation for your Leadership and guidance; your wealth of technical expertise; your faith and dedication to us all; which resulted in America occupying the preeminent pinnacle in the science of Space Exploration. With our warmest personal best wishes, The crew of Skylab III, [signed] Jerry Carr, Ed Gibson, and Bill Pogue". Framed to an overall 24" x 20". Flag has glue bleedthrough on two edges and the photo is slightly faded, very fine. This framed presentation was placed in the Kraft household on the east wall of the upstairs den.
