Sergei Korolev Signed Printed Article about Konstantin Tsiolkovsky's Contribution to Rocket Science, Dated 1955. A twelve-page article, 6.5" x 10.25", the title roughly translated as "K. E. Tsiolkovsky - The Founder of Modern Rocketodynamics". Sergei Korolev was the chief Soviet rocket engineer and designer during the period of the "space race" and was undoubtedly a student of Tsiolkovsky's work. This pamphlet is signed in blue ink on the cover with a 1955 date. A rare and interesting piece of the history of rocketry from the estate of one of its major designers. Light wear, very good.

A rough translation from the first page: "Missile technology is one of the most important areas of scientific technical progress in the 20th century. During the Second World War, the development of jet apparatus became especially intense. On the battlefield appeared reactive mortars, long-range missiles, jet air torpedoes and aircraft with jet engines. In the post-war years, jet fighters almost crowded fighters with a propeller. New high-speed aircraft, usually developed with jet engines. With help rockets, study the composition, temperature and wind speed of the upper layers of the atmosphere spheres, as well as the laws of propagation of short radio waves and spectra solar radiation at high altitudes. Scientific and technical journals, they are already seriously discussing the problem of creating a rocket- a satellite of the Earth. To solve the problems of rocket technology awakened and organized such forces of science and industry that could not even dream of in previous epochs of technical development of human society. The study of the laws of motion of jet apparatus becomes relevant problem of modern mechanics. The founder of the theory of jet propulsion, on which the development of this new branch of science is based, the inspired promoter of jet engines was the famous scientist, inventor and thinker Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
