    Philatelia: Robert H. Goddard First Day Cancelled Cover Signed by Mrs. Goddard Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. Sized 6.5" x 3.5", with an 8¢ "Robert H. Goddard" stamp (Scott #C69). Postmarked Roswell, NM, October 5, 1964. Addressed to Neil Armstrong from Mrs. Robert Goddard and signed in blue ink at the left margin, "Mrs. Robert H. Goddard." Robert Goddard (1882-1945), known as the "Father of Modern Rocketry", was a physicist, teacher, and inventor. This cover design was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the granting of his first patents. Very fine, with minor wear and soiling. Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG 1002331-004. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
