    National Space Trophy

Neil Armstrong's 2004 National Award For Space Achievement Trophy Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A 13.5" tall (overall) crystal trophy on an engraved metal base of 7" diameter, a copy of the seven foot tall, 500 pound lead crystal sculpture designed by Steuben Glass of New York which is on permanent display at Space Center Houston. Since 1987, the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement has been awarded annually to an outstanding American who has made major contributions to our nation's space program. The design of this exclusive award is gorgeous, a conical column above a base reminiscent of exhaust clouds. The Steuben trophy is housed in a custom leatherette carrying case, 10" x 9" x 17". This is one of the truly special pieces in this auction. Excellent. CAG 1002107-023. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
