    Description

    Neil Armstrong and Milt Thompson Signed Book Aeronautics and Astronautics, with JSA LOA. An American Chronology of Science and Technology in the Exploration of Space by NASA Historian Eugene M. Emme (Washington, D.C.: NASA, 1961). First edition. Signed on the free front endpaper: "Neil Armstrong" and "M. O. Thompson". Octavo, 240 pages, publishers cloth with NASA "meatball" logo gold stamped on the front cover. Includes an early 7" x 5" B&W photo of Armstrong and Thompson standing with several other gentlemen, possibly from the event where this book was signed. Thompson was a legendary NACA/NASA research pilot (including the X-15) and engineer. He was chosen as an astronaut for the Dyna-Soar program and later served as Chief Engineer and Director of Research Projects during a long career at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. Fine.
