    Description

NASA Vintage Apollo Command Module Prototype Model with LOA. An early 10" diameter x 9" tall wood and plastic model of the Apollo Command Module, bearing a NASA "meatball" logo sticker and a hook, likely for suspension. Quite worn and scratched, overall very good.

Included with this lot is an illustrated Letter of Authenticity signed by Ed Pavelka, stating, in full: "The following is a testament to the provenance and identity of the Apollo command module model that was used during planning for the Apollo missions. (1) I, Ed Pavelka, worked for NASA at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. I served as Chief, Operations Division, responsible for operations and planning for payload support, flight planning, and trajectory activities for Shuttle flights, development of payload integration, and integrated cargo hazard assessment processes. (2) I do attest that this is an original Apollo command module model that was used during planning for the Apollo lunar missions.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
