NASA: Neil Armstrong's Copy of a Memorandum "LM Loading" (Three Pages on Two Sheets), September 1967, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. Two 8.5" x 11" three-hole punched sheet, from Morris V. Jenkins to an "Informal Distribution. To quote the first paragraph: "Recently there has been considerable discussion as to what should be the philosophy as regards LM loading. Those who have been working on it such as Floyd Bennett and myself have received a considerable amount of advice which has varied from fill 'em up (both ascent and descent stages), fill up the descent (which happened to come from a person interested in insuring descent success), and make sure the ascent is filled up (from someone who is interested in a safe injection from the moon). The real truth is, you cannot rationally accept any of these isolated edicts and at the same time, confirm that the Lunar Landing Mission is possible with the present ground rules." He goes on to list four possible plans on page two. Page three is a block diagram titled "Plan 4/ LM Propellant Loading Rationale for Lunar Descent and Ascent." Great reference material for the Space historian. Fine. Sealed in numbered archival sleeves, CAG 1000123-011 and 1000123-012. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
