    Description

NASA 10377 Northrop T-38 Talon Supersonic Trainer Model on Base Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A NASA-decaled 12.5" x 7.5" plastic model on a Northrop base, 6" tall as shown. This plane was introduced in 1961 and heavily used by the Air Force and Navy as well as by NASA. Many of the astronauts flew these back and forth between Cape Canaveral and Houston on a regular basis. Sadly, four astronauts lost their lives in T-38 accidents: Theodore Freeman, Elliot See, Charles Bassett, and Clifton Williams. The very end of the nose of this model is broken off, there is a small piece out of the vertical stabilizer, and some paint cracking. Overall very good, but with the Armstrong provenance, still very desirable. CAG 1002079-025. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
