Moon landing conspiracy book ridiculed by the astronauts

May Bennett and David S. Percy Book: Dark Moon. Apollo And The Whistle Blowers Signed by Chris Kraft, Alan Bean, Guenter Wendt, Richard Gordon, Edgar Mitchell, and Charlie Duke. (Kempton, Illinois: Adventurers Unlimited Press, 2001). First U.S edition, first printing. "Did NASA fake the Apollo record?" is the question this book seeks to answer, dedicated "For the children of the Universe." The Apollo astronauts traditionally have little patience with these Apollo deniers; Buzz Aldrin punched one a few years ago. The owner of this book took it to several key people involved in the moon missions and asked them to sign it with their opinions of it. As follows, on the half-title and title pages in black felt tips: "Chris Kraft", "It takes all kind to make the world / Alan Bean/ Apollo 12", "I vonder where they vent?? / Guenter F. Wendt/ Padleader", "We were really there!! / Richard Gordon/ Apollo XII", "Nonsense!!! / Edgar Mitchell", and "If we faked it, why did we fake it 9 times! / Charlie Duke/ Apollo 16 LMP". Absolutely unique. Trade paper, octavo, 568 pages, illustrated. Fine. From the collection of Lee Nunn.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
