Graf Zeppelin LZ-127: Flown First Flight Cover from Lakehurst, New Jersey, to Berlin, Germany, October 28, 1928, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified and Encapsulated by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty. This cover bears three U.S. stamps: (two) 50¢ Arlington Amphitheater commemoratives (Scott #570) and (one) 5¢ Theodore Roosevelt definitive (Scott #557). It was posted by Abram Bosler of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and cancelled there on October 27, 1928, addressed to Arthur Jacoby in Berlin. It was then rubber stamped with a special "First Flight Airmail/ Via Graf Zeppelin/ United States to Germany/ Oct 28 1928" cancellation. This famous German airship was in the United States on its first transatlantic flight, piloted by the legendary Dr. Hugo Eckener. The flight back to Germany took a bit under 72 hours; Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 time from the earth to lunar orbit insertion was just four hours longer. On a White Ace collector certificate with full information about the ship and flight. Very good, sealed in a numbered archival holder. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
