    Description

Goddard Desk Paperweight Engraved to Neil Armstrong Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty with a Photo Certificate. A small, wire-framed paperweight, measuring approximately 2.5" x 3.5". The base of the weight has been engraved "Goddard Space Flight Center Named in Honor of Dr. Robert H. Goddard Who Launched World's First Liquid Fueled Rocket March 16, 1926" along with Armstrong's name. There is a standing swing mechanism, which no longer functions. The Goddard Space Flight Center was established in 1959 and was used as NASA's first flight center and contributed a great deal to Project Mercury. Minor wear to base and engraving, with a broken swing mechanism, else very good. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
