"I felt the support of the Corps and the long gray line..."

Ed White II Autograph Letter Signed, a Draft of a Letter to West Point Written Just Days after Gemini 4. Writing vertically on the back of a random #10 envelope found on his desk, White composed a letter to his alma mater regarding his respect for that establishment and its importance in his life. The sent copy of this letter is in their museum holdings. In pencil, as follows: "To the Corps/ c/o Superintendent/ I felt the/ support of the Corps/ and the Long Gray/ Line during my/ flight. The principles/ of Duty, Honor,/ Country, learned/ at West Point/ have always been the/ guiding forces in. my life. There is/ no place that/ I hold in greater/ esteem and regard./ than West Point./ The telegram/ from the Corps driven/ to the flight was/ deeply appreciated./ Major E H White, II/ USMA 1952". The fact that he signed as a major shows that it was written in the short period between Gemini 4 and when LBJ promoted him to lieutenant colonel. Not often seen in holographic material. A very important letter. Envelope worn, otherwise fine.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
