    Charles Lindbergh Signed Book: The Spirit of St. Louis. (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1953). Signed in black ink on the title page by this legendary aviator: "To Levin H. Campbell, Jr./ With appreciation and best wishes/ Charles A. Lindbergh". Lindbergh won the Pulitzer Prize for this account of his successful attempt of the New York to Paris flight that had claimed the lives of six pilots before him. After a long career in the Army, retiring as a Major General in 1948, Campbell was active in civilian businesses including serving on the Board of Directors at Curtiss-Wright. Hardbound in an unclipped dust jacket ($5.00), octavo, 562 pages, illustrated. Book tight and fine, dust jacket worn, good.
