Charles Conrad Typewritten Manuscript Speech Signed Originally from His Personal Collection. A sixteen page (one sided) document, 8.5" x 11", titled "Reflections of the Moon". A very interesting read with many personal comments, for example: "...I had a great time on the moon. It was a fantastic experience. If you've ever watched the tapes of our landing, you'll note I was laughing and frolicking for most of the time I spent on the lunar surface. There was a sense of elation and exhilaration. The moon was stark but beautiful, and I was amazed at how truly small it was..." At the close, he has written: "This speech was delivered/ June 5, 1990 at an International/ Space Conference in Hiroshima, Japan. It was the keynote speech/ and was delivered at the invitation/ of the Governor of Hiroshima,/ Mr. Takeshita/ Charles Conrad Jr". All pages are in sheet protectors and are placed in a binder. Excellent condition. From the Steven R. Belasco Collection of Space Memorabilia.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
