Blume High School: "The Mad Hatters" Original 1945 Junior Class Play Program with Neil Armstrong as "Bunny," Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. An 11" x 8.5" (opened) mimeographed program for the November 16, 1945, performance at Neil Armstrong's high school in Wapakoneta, Ohio, of a "play that takes place in the living room of the Hatter home in Brooklyn, New York." We weren't able to find out much about this play but from a period review of another school's performance, we found this: "A laugh riot, the play centers around the actions of the Hatter family who are all crazy as loons...Bunny Hatter [Neil's part] is a son of the family who is a photography bug." A rare program (we doubt that many people present could have predicted that the young fellow playing Bunny would one day walk on the moon). Folds and uneven toning, very good. Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG 1002041-011. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
