    Description

Attend a Space Shuttle Launch with STS-1 Pilot Bob Crippen. The ground will vibrate and the sensation will engulf you as you witness firsthand a Space Shuttle launch with the pilot of the first Space Shuttle mission, Robert Crippen.

You and a guest will travel to Kennedy Space Center where you will be treated to a VIP reception and then whisked off to prepare for NASA's launch countdown! As a four-time shuttle veteran, Crippen will share his personal memories of lifting off the launch pad and flying into orbit as the next crew prepares to follow in his footsteps. With only a handful of space shuttle launches to go before this vehicle is retired, this truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

You, your guest and Capt. Crippen will witness the launch attempt from a NASA-controlled location. Transportation to the viewing area will be provided by Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Accommodations and transportation to and from Florida and the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is not included. The actual date of the event will be determined by Capt. Crippen's schedule, as well as NASA's launch schedule. This lot does not guarantee viewing a shuttle launch and includes only one launch attempt. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith. The winning bidder of this event may be required to submit proof of identity and be subject to a background check. ASF rep may accompany astronaut on the experience. Hold harmless agreement required.

This lot has been consigned by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. The proceeds will benefit this non-profit organization.
