    Apollo-Soyuz Test Project Flown American Flag and Mission Insignia from the Personal Collection of Astronaut Gene Cernan as presented to him by the American mission crew. A 5.75" x 4" silk U.S. flag along with a 3.5" Beta cloth mission patch mounted to a gray-toned artist rendering of the two spacecrafts docking in space. Beneath the flag is printed "This flag was flown on the first international space mission Apollo/Soyuz, July 15-24, 1975". To the right of the patch is: "Presented to EUGENE A. CERNAN with appreciation for your effort in support of the Apollo/Soyuz Test Project". It is signed by "Tom Stafford", "Vance Brand", and "D K Slayton". Attractively matted in red, white, and blue and framed to an overall 19.75" x 16.5". Excellent condition save for light scratches on the frame.
