Apollo 17 Lunar Module Flown American Flag Signed by and Originally from the Collection of Mission Commander Gene Cernan. A 5.75" x 4" silk U.S. flag mounted to an 8" x 6" cloth-padded board. It has been certified and signed on the lower three stripes by Cernan: "This flag was flown to Lunar Surface aboard spacecraft 'Challenger' Dec 7-19 CDR - APOLLO XVII Gene Cernan". No flag ever spent more time on the moon than this one as Apollo 17 still holds the record for lunar surface time, more than three full days. Excellent condition save for a very light stain on the top white stripe.
