    APOLLO 17

    Apollo 17 Flown Flag Signed by Gene Cernan, on Presentation Certificate. A 5.75" x 4.25" cloth U.S. flag mounted to a 14" x 11" illustrated certificate (on matboard) reading: "Presented to William O. Armstrong in recognition of this contributions to the Apollo and Space Shuttle Programs" and signed by John F. Yardley as associate administrator of the STS program. The flag is signed on the lowest two stripes: "Gene Cernan/ The Last Man on the Moon!" William Armstrong was a key member of the Flight Crew Operations Division at the Manned Spacecraft Center. First of this type we've offered. Very light mounting traces on the flag, top corners of mat bumped, overall very fine.
