Apollo 16 Moonwalkers: Signed Apollo 16 Lunar Surface John Young "Leaping" Flag Salute Color Photo. A 10" x 8" silk finish color photo on Kodak Endura paper of this well-known image of Young leaping into the air as he salutes the American flag on the moon; the lunar module Orion and the lunar rover are visible. He has boldly signed in white ink: "John Young/ 9th man on the moon/ Apollo 16 CDR". Charlie Duke has added: "Hey John, This Is Perfect, You,/ The Rover And The Old Flag./ Come Give Me A Big Navy Salute./ Charlie Duke/ Apollo 16 Moonwalker". A gorgeous photo. Included with this lot is a Steve Zarelli LOA for the Young signature (the Duke was added later). Excellent.
