    Description

Apollo 14 Flown Beta Cloth Mission Insignia Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell, Signed and Certified, with Signed LOA. This 9" square mission emblem was flown aboard the Apollo 14 Command Module Kitty Hawk during its nine-day trip to the moon and back. Made of fire resistant Beta cloth developed by Dow-Corning, the 4" x 3.5" insignia depicts a NASA Astronaut Pin flying to the moon. Dr. Mitchell has signed below the image: "Flown to the moon aboard Kittyhawk into/ Lunar orbit on Apollo 14/ Edgar Mitchell/ LMP". Excellent condition.

Included with this lot is an Astronaut Scholarship Foundation donation form signed by Mitchell where he describes this insignia as "Flown in the Command Module Kittyhawk into lunar orbit". This was donated by him to the "6th Annual Auction of Astronaut Experiences & Memorabilia" in 2006.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
