Apollo 13 Training-Used Apollo XIII LM-7 Flight Crew G&N Dictionary Book Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander James Lovell, Signed, with Signed LOA. A NASA checklist book of 100+ pages printed on 5.5" x 8" lightweight card stock, three hole-punched and held together with two binder rings between heavy card covers. The front cover (white heavy cardstock) has "Lovell" written at upper right and bears a title sticker: "Apollo 13/ LM-7/ G&N Dictionary/ (Preliminary)". There is a stamped date at lower right of February 5, 1970 which has been crossed out twice with a final date written in: "Mar 9, 1970", signed "James Lovell". It is dated on the internal (blue lightweight card stock) front cover: "January 5, 1970/ Revised March 25, 1970" and is boldly signed: "James Lovell/ CDR". Integral tabs separate the various sections of Guidance and Navigation information with titles such as "Stars, Prog", "Verbs", "Nouns", "Checklist Codes Alarms", "AGS Logic", and "AGS Prog". A very desirable piece. Familiarity with the data found in this book would prove very important during this flight. Very fine condition save for heavy wear on the front card cover.

Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Authenticity from Lovell on his company letterhead stating, in full: "I hereby certify that this Flight Crew G & N Dictionary was used during training for the Apollo 13 flight. Apollo 13 perilous flight took off on April 11 and returned safely on April 17, 1970. This dictionary was from my personal collection of space artifacts and has been in my possession since the mission."
