Flown to the surface of the moon

Apollo 12 Lunar Module Flown Mirror Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean, Signed and Certified. A 4.75" x 3.75" mirror with rounded corners with aa swivel mounting post on the back. This is Part Number of "LDW360- 52035-5". Bean has written across the back in black felt tip: "Flown to the Moon/ aboard our Lunar/ Module/ Intrepid/ November 19 & 20, 1969/ Alan Bean/ Apollo 12 LMP". On the trip from Earth, this part was stowed in the Right Hand Side Storage Compartment of the Lunar Module. During use, the mirror was mounted in a position to give Charles Conrad a comfortable view of the (COAS) Crewman Optical Alignment Sight when it was mounted in the Rendezvous window during approach and docking. One of these LM flown mirrors was recently found in the contents of the Neil Armstrong "Purse"; it is currently located in the collection of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. A rare and desirable item. Excellent.
