Used aboard Apollo 12 after the lightning strike

Apollo 12 Flown "Saturn V Boost" Cue Card Directly from the Family Collection of Mission Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon, Signed and Certified, with both Handwritten and Printed Signed Letters of Certification. A 2.625" x 5.5" heavyweight card printed one side only with a Velcro strip on verso for control panel mounting. Gordon's full page handwritten letter explains the importance of this item to the success of the mission:

"This cue card mounted on the instrument panel during launch was very important to the crew of Apollo XII. It relates the performance of the Saturn V during launch so that the crew could verify its performance by comparing the data from the Command Module Computer (CMC) with the data presented on the cue card. After the lightning strike, we lost data from the computer as well as our primary attitude reference display. All the crew had was attitude (roll, pitch & yaw) from the back-up reference system.

"We matched time (DET) against pitch angle (Θ) allowing us to verify the Saturn V's flight profile. Talk about a comfort level!! The cue card that flew on Apollo XII has been part of my personal collection since the flight. Richard Gordon. Apollo XII CMP."

Signed on the verso: "Richard Gordon/ Apollo XII CMP". Also included with this lot is a printed Certificate of Authenticity signed by Gordon. A rare and important relic from this second moon landing mission. Very fine.
