    Description

Apollo 11: Paul Calle Original Signed Individual Pencil and Ink Pre-Flight Crew Drawings (Three) on a Large "First Man On The Moon" First Day Covers. Three 9.5" x 6.25" white envelopes each bearing one of the C76 10¢ Airmail stamps with the dual "Moon Landing/ Jul 20 1969" and "Washington, DC Sep 9 1969" machine cancellations. On each, Calle has drawn one of the crewmembers before their launch on July 16, 1969. Armstrong is holding his helmet; the other two are wearing theirs. Calle was the only artist present when the crew of Apollo 11 prepared for launch. These are fabulously detailed drawings, perfect for display. Each pencil-signed at right: "Paul Calle/ 4-11". Excellent.
