    Apollo 11 Original NASA Glass Film Slide, an Image of Buzz Aldrin Driving in Core Tubes, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A 2" square (sight size) positive transparency, NASA image AS11-40-5964, mounted in a hand-numbered 4" x 3.25" glass slide. It shows Buzz Aldrin during the Apollo 11 extravehicular activity (EVA) on the moon. He is driving one of two core tubes into the lunar soil. Neil Armstrong took this picture with a 70mm lunar surface camera. Aldrin stands near the Solar Wind Composition (SWC) experiment, a component of the Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package (EASEP, deployed earlier). Rare and desirable. Excellent, sealed in a numbered archival holder, CAG 1001744-002. Included with this lot is a color glossy photo of this image printed from the NASA archives. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
