Description

Apollo 11: NASA "Mission Implementation Plan for the Apollo 'G' Mission" Dated March 13, 1969, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty with a Photo Certificate. An 8.5" x 11" three-hole punched, staplebound manual of approximately forty-two pages (printed single-side) from the Office of Manned Space Flight, Apollo Program Office. Interestingly, the original handwritten routing at the top of this second revision copy was: "MSC CB/Shepard"; that was crossed out and "Armstrong" was added. A portion of the summary reads:

"...the Apollo 'G' mission [Apollo 11] represents then most significant milestone of the Apollo Program. The ten-day [!] mission includes an open-ended (3-hour maximum), extra-vehicular exploration of the lunar landing site by two astronauts, featuring lunar science activities and live television communication with the earth."

This manual summarized the test objectives, experiments, operational and pre-launch test, the flight plan, alternate missions [very interesting], and debriefing plans. Light soiling and wear from use, very good. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
