    Apollo 11: General Thomas D. White Space Trophy Citation Awarded to Neil Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr., and Michael Collins in 1969, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. The certificate is 13.25" x 10.25" (sight), framed to 14.25" x 11.25" overall. The "Citation To Accompany the 1969 Award of the General Thomas D. White USAF Space Trophy to Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. Michael Collins, the Crew of the Apollo 11 Spacecraft. For its July 20, 1969 landing on the moon." It details the accomplishments of the crew of the Apollo 11 during the Moon Landing. Dated April 29, 1970, it is signed by the Department of the Air Force Secretary Robert C. Seamans Jr. and Air Force Chief of Staff John Ryan.

    "The White Space Trophy is awarded annually to a unit, member, or civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force for an outstanding contribution to progress in astronautics during the preceding year. The trophy was established by the National Geographic Society in 1961 and was named in honor of then Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Thomas D. White." (Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum website). Previous winners from the astronaut corps had been Gus Grissom (1961) and Gordon Cooper (1963). Very fine. CAG 1002095-009.
