    Description

Apollo 11: Four Sizeable Segments of Apollo 11 Flown Kapton Foil. Great assemblage of four segments of the highly desirable delicate Kapton foil from the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia. Measurements as follows: 2" x .75", 1.875" x .75", 1.875" x .75", 2" x .75" (all approximate). This foil played the critical role of reflecting the sun's intense heat away from the Apollo 11 command module as it re-entered earth's atmosphere. Due to its fragile nature most of it burned off the ship but small pieces survived and were salvaged. This actually flew to the moon and back as a part of the legendary Apollo 11 spacecraft. A great memento from one of mankind's "Giant Leaps." Included with this lot is an LOA signed by Sandy Clarkson of The Right Stuff Inc. Very fine.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
