    Description

    Apollo 11 Flown Outer Space Treaty Facsimile Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A 5.5" x 3.25" printed copy of the "Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies" printed on parchment paper. This was carried to the moon by Armstrong on the historic Apollo 11 mission. This copy is dated 1967, by S. M. Kessler of Hicksville, New York. This treaty forms the basis for international space law. It was opened for signature in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union on January 27, 1967, and entered into force on October 10, 1967. Today, 108 countries are party to this treaty. Darkly toned, tiny flaws at two corners, otherwise fine. Rare from this mission. Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG 1002096-018. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
