"As their "CAPCOM", I served as the crew's official contact person in Mission Control back on Earth, where I talked them down to the "Sea of Tranquility" on the evening of July 20, 1969.

"Upon landing, Aldrin transmitted man's first words from the moon: "Contact light, OK, Engine Stop", and I replied with the first words ever transmitted to man on the moon: "We copy you down, Eagle".

"Moments later, Neil Armstrong said to me: "Houston, Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed"

"In 1972, I followed Neil and Buzz to the Moon, where I planted my own footprints in the lunar dust as only the tenth man to ever walk on the Moon during Apollo 16.

"After the mission, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins published their historic account of the first manned lunar landing in a book entitled FIRST ON THE MOON.

"This Historic Copy, inscribed to me by the complete Apollo 11 crew as their landing 'CAPCOM', originates from my personal space library, where it was proudly housed for nearly forty years. April 19, 2007."

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
