    Alan Bean's Complete Personal Camera Outfit consisting of a Hasselblad 500C Camera Body, Zeiss Planar f/2.8 80mm Lens, Meter Prism Finder, Two Film Backs, Extension Tube, Two Filters, and Various Instruction Books, Directly from His Family Collection. There was a fateful day in 1962 when Astronaut Wally Schirra walked into a Houston camera shop and purchased this exact model of camera to take with him on his Mercury-Atlas 8 orbital mission. When NASA saw the excellent quality of the photos he took, they ramped up the photo department, partnered with Hasselblad to make camera modifications for spaceflight, and the rest is history. Hasselblads have been taken on every manned spaceflight since those early days and we can enjoy the beauty and grandeur the astronauts experienced through the magnificent images taken by Hasselblad cameras. This outfit belonged to the fourth man to walk on the moon. After years of using one of these, why wouldn't he choose it for his own personal camera? His handwriting can be found on the filter boxes and at least one of the booklets. His use of this camera shows another side of a very artistic gentleman. Wear from obvious use, not tested. Fine.
