    Large group of items related to theatre productions in various locations, mounted under the auspices of the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. The group includes: five large Federal Theatre magazines or bulletins including a Report of the First Federal Summer Theatre, twenty-two programs (plays, concerts, dance, and circus) including "Murder in the Cathedral", fifteen pieces of assorted ephemera (flyers, questionnaires, correspondence, handbills, mimeographed sheets), and one hundred and one publicity stills depicting production staff, audience views, authors, scenes in progress, and actors (some small format, but mainly 8 x 10" glossies). MOST PHOTOS STAMPED FEDERAL THEATRE PROJECT AND TAKEN BY WELL-KNOWN PHOTGRAPHERS WORKING WITHIN THE PROGRAM.
