Mississippi Rhythm Lobby Card Featuring Jimmie Davis. Everyone has heard the song "You Are My Sunshine." No doubt as a little child, or perhaps a teenager in love, this song has slipped past your ears. However, if asked who wrote or sang this song, only a handful of people would even be able to make an educated guess. Louisiana governor and actor Jimmie Davis is the correct answer to this question! This poster features Jimmie Davis in one of the few musical westerns he starred in during the 1940s. Davis had just wrapped up a term as governor of Louisiana when this B-Western was released. The lobby card features a scene near a saloon in Montana. In this movie Davis takes on a corrupt landowner, in a Western without much fighting or gunfire but a lot of fanciful singing and musical numbers!

The lobby card is in good condition with only slight soiling on the white edges, and pinholes on each corner. The colors are bright and vibrant and still very saturated. This is a great chance to own a lobby card featuring the man who composed and sang one of the most remembered American songs of all time!

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
