Manufactured by Komet Musikwerke, Leipzig, Germany, Komet Victoria model 163, circa 1900, coin-operated playing 61 tooth comb on cutaway cast iron bedplate, in walnut cabinet, the door with Komet trademark decorated glazing flanked by twin pilasters, coin drawer, pediment above, on turned feet, with ten discs.
The cutaway bedplate saved money on material as well as increased loudness due to its reduced mass. Sold in limited numbers primarily in Germany and England.
