    Description

    LI'L ABNER'S DOG PATCH BAND WIND-UP TOY 1945.

Copywrited in 1945 this Li'l Abner tin toy captures all the essence of the comic strip with Li'l Abner, Daisy Ma, Ma and Pa. The back of the upright piano is marked 1945 United Features and says the toy was manufactured by the Unique Art Manufacturing Co. The toy displays in very good conditiion with Li'l Abner having some minor surface scratches. Minor wear appears on the other individual pieces but this piece is very clean with no rusting or significant wear. It's unusual to find one of these with all of the pieces as Pa and Daisy are removable. The key turns but possibly the mechanism is wound too tight to run.Surely to accent any toy collection with this unusual 1945 tin toy.

Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, there may be an additional shipping charge.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
