    Description

EARLY P.T. BARNUM SILK BANDANA. Very unusual piece, probably dating from the middle of the second half of the 19th century. Manufactured by combining sections of fine red silk with woven repeats of Barnum’s profile, which form the border. Basically Excellent condition, with a minor small, fairly light stain and some tiny moth holes, neither of which detract badly. Barnum items are, of course, highly collectable. 19 x 19".
