"Doc" Carver Performance Advertisements. In the 1890's, Dr. W. F. Carver touted himself as the "Champion Rifle Shot of the World" and "The Evil Spirit of the Plains". Like Buffalo Bill and Pawnee Bill, he performed throughout the world. This lot has two rare, tri-fold booklets. They measure 12" x 9" unfolded and are printed in red and black on two sides. Each promotes the Carver production of "The Scout - The Hero of the Plains". One mentions the Academy of Music in New York City and a scene in the play where a horse falls 24 feet into 157 tons of water, as well as "The Great Battle in a Real River". In the other, Carver compares his "beautiful Western melodrama" to the "wild and woolly show so often seen in the open air." He goes on to make some rather outlandish claims. Each flyer has areas of abrasion and loss, but are quite graphic.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
