Very Rare US M1833 Dragoon Officer's Saber 33" quillback blade white etched for 2/3 its length. Obverse with floral/leaf motifs along with arms panoply, tucked wing eagle with motto, with rays above, and full figured Indian with raised tomahawk. Reverse with similar floral/leaf and arms panoply motifs but with 3 1/2" panel flanked by rays etched "United States Dragoons". Blade generally smooth and gray with some very minor staining and equally minor salt and peppering with all etching visible and clear. Hilt about perfect with a large number "3" stamped on the obverse of the disc quillon. Brown leather wrapped grip showing some smooth honest wear with a small chip at the pommel on the obverse. Retains 6 of what appear to be the original 7 strands of brass wire wrap. The wire is twisted, however, rather than the characteristic spring like form. Nice honest example of this very rare regulation American officer's saber.

From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
