    Description

U.S. Model 1852 Named Navy Officer's Sword. Standard pattern naval officer's sword from the first half of the 20th century with a German-made blade and Rosenfeld retailer's mark. The officer's name "R. A. Schuirman" is etched on the reverse side of the blade. The sword retains the majority of the gilding with a generally bright blade with scattered areas of light pitting due to scabbard storage. The leather scabbard is complete with gilded-brass drag and mounts. The reverse side of the throat is engraved with the officer's initials "R.A.S." An attractive and detailed example in very good condition.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
