    Description

    U.S. M1818 NCO's Sword by N. Starr. 26-inch tapered blade with 1/2-inch wide fuller beginning 7-inches from the tip. Ricasso marked, "N. STARR /US/P/?". Iron D-guard with single up-turned quillon and straight integral knucklebow slotted at the top for a sword knot. Oval iron ferrule. Ribbed, hardwood grip. Slotted, round pommel cap. Condition: Good. Steel a mostly smooth gray patina with scattered patches of light pitting and some nicks to blade. Slightly rounded tip. Signs of having been cleaned. Guard with vestiges of gold paint. Grip has been sanded.
