    Description

    Two Imported American Mounted Officers' Swords. Including: 1) 30" curved blade with etched floral engraving against blued panels. No visible maker marks. "P" style knuckle guard, simple cross guard with langets. Iron scabbard, lacking one mounting ring. Scabbard with shallow dents; blade generally bright but with some nicks in the cutting edge. Very good. 2) Another example of similar form with a 31" curved bright blade etched with floral decoration, panoplies of arms and 22 stars (circa 1819). No visible maker mark. Iron hilt and wire-wrapped leather grip. Silvered-metal scabbard, lacking mounting rings. Very good.
