DescriptionWWII Japanese Type 95 Army Noncommissioned Officers' Sword. 26 ¼-inch slightly curved blade; 36-inches overall. Sword and scabbard numbers matching. Unknown sword factory mark and Kokura Arsenal markings on the reverse fuchi. Blade with Tokyo First Arsenal inspection stamp. Cast metal handle. Iron tsuba. Chrome-plated metal scabbard with one mounting ring.
Condition: Very good as refinished. Blade appears to be chrome plated, as is the scabbard. Retaining approximately 40% original paint on the handle. Locking catch a bit weak.
