    Description

    WWII Japanese Naval Officers' Sword. 26-inch slightly curved blade; 31-inches overall. False, wavy temper line. Gilded brass guard with D" shape knuckle bow. Guard decorated with two cherry blossoms and nine leaves. Back strap and pommel cap likewise decorated. Reverse folding and locking guard. Sharkskin grip with wire wrapping. Polished sharkskin over wooden scabbard with decorated mounts and drag.

    Condition: Very good. Minor loss to plating near the tip on either side of the blade. Tarnishing to guard. One trivial spot of missing sharkskin on the scabbard; brass fittings tarnished.
