    Description

    WWII Japanese Army Officer's Shin-Gunto.
26 1/2-inch blade with a straight temper line. Protective leather cover on the handle prevents removal of the blade to determine if the tang is signed or the condition of handle, which given the condition of the rest of the sword is excellent. Brass tsuba. Cloth-wrapped handle. Black-painted metal scabbard with single mounting ring. From The Estate of Ronald Martin.

Condition: Very good. Blade generally bright with trivial nicks in the cutting edge, handling wear and a few blemishes. Scabbard retains approximately 85% black paint.
