Very Nice US M1812/13 Cavalry Saber By N. Starr Flat blade generally with smooth dark patina, just a few very small areas of light pitting, minor. Deep markings on obverse "P / HHP / N.STARR". Blade retains the original leather washer. Hilt excellent, generally with smooth dark patina and just some salt and peppering on the backstrap. Retains all of the original leather grip wrap which is excellent. Scabbard very good with three dents, one resulting in a slight 2" opening on the top seam, easily repaired. Overall with deep dark patina and scattered light pitting. Retains original throat. Nice representative example of this regulation War of 1812 US enlisted cavalry saber.

From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
