    Description

    U.S. Civil War Model 1840 Artillery Sword with Scabbard. The blade length is 32 ¾-inches and an overall length of 38-inches. One side of the ricasso is marked U.S./J.C.W./186[?], the other is marked 152. The grip is leather with wire wraps. The brass hilt is stamped 59. The drag has indistinct numbers. Condition:Very good. The sword has a mottled finish with light nicks and minor surface rust. The, scabbard has general rusting and is missing most of nickel plating.
